Terms, Refunds & Privacy

The Survival Network provides community game servers and related online features. Access is a privilege, not a right.

• You must follow the server rules and Discord community guidelines at all times.
• We may suspend, ban, kick, or remove any account or purchase-linked benefit at our sole discretion — including for cheating, exploiting, harassment, or rule violations — without notice and without refund.
• Servers are provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uptime, availability, data retention, or that any feature will remain unchanged. Wipes, resets, and updates may occur.
• Purchased perks (VIP, cosmetics, convenience features) grant in-game benefits only. They have no real-world monetary value and are non-transferable.
• Initiating a payment chargeback or dispute after receiving digital goods will result in a permanent ban from all servers and services.
• We may update these terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance.

• If your account is banned, kicked, or suspended for breaking server rules.
• If you stop playing, lose interest, or your subscription lapses.
• If a server is wiped, reset, changed, or taken offline.
• If you purchased by mistake or bought the wrong tier.

By completing a purchase you expressly acknowledge that you lose any statutory “cooling-off” / right of withdrawal once digital content is delivered, and you consent to immediate delivery.

VIP ranks are monthly subscriptions billed in your local currency through PayPal.

• A subscription automatically renews every month until you cancel it.
• You can cancel anytime from your PayPal account (Settings → Payments → Automatic payments). Cancellation stops future charges; it does not refund the current period, and your VIP remains active until the paid period ends.
• Renewal payments extend your VIP by another month automatically.
• Prices may change with notice; the price shown at checkout applies to that billing cycle.
• Purchases require a Steam login so benefits can be applied to the correct game account.

We collect the minimum needed to run the service. TheMeanOneDevelopments is the data controller.

What we collect:

• Steam ID & display name — to link your account and apply purchases/perks.
• Purchase records — tier, amount, PayPal order/transaction/subscription id, and payer email from PayPal. At the time of purchase we also record your IP address, device/browser (user-agent), and a timestamped record of your agreement to these terms — retained as evidence to fulfil orders, keep financial records, and defend against fraud and payment chargebacks/disputes.
• In-game & connection data — character/economy data, and IP addresses handled by the game server for moderation and anti-cheat.

Legal basis: performance of contract (delivering what you bought) and legitimate interests (running and securing the service). Payment card details are handled entirely by PayPal — we never see or store them.

Retention: account and purchase records are kept while your account is active and as required for tax/accounting, then deleted or anonymised.

Your EU/UK rights: you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, object to processing, or request a copy. Contact us on Discord to exercise these rights. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

We use only strictly necessary cookies:

• A login/session cookie after you sign in with Steam, so the site knows you’re logged in.
• Local browser storage for your preferences (e.g. map layers, cookie acknowledgement).

We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because our cookies are essential to the functionality you request, the site works without additional consent, but we show a notice for transparency.
