SURVIVOR EXCHANGE

Everything on the exchange runs on SurvivalCash. No real money is involved anywhere in this system.

01 · The short version

Companies have a share price that moves on its own. You buy shares with SurvivalCash, hold them, and sell when the price is higher than what you paid. If it drops instead, you eat the difference. Everything else in this manual is refinement.

The full exchange lives at /market - live prices, charts, orders, options, alerts, news. Quick buys and sells also work in-game with !stockswhen you can't reach a terminal.

Prices tick roughly every 45 seconds, around the clock, whether you are watching or not. Mostly not.

02 · Placing a trade

Pick a company, enter a share count, hit BUY or SELL. Fills are instant at the live price. The MAX button spends your entire balance in one press; ALL dumps your entire position. Both do exactly what they say, so be sure you mean it.

The exchange takes a 0.5% fee each way. Worked example: buy 100 shares at 250 SC - that is 25,000 SC plus a 125 SC fee, total 25,125 SC. Sell later at 300 SC - 30,000 SC minus a 150 SC fee leaves 29,850 SC. Net profit: 4,725 SC. The house takes its sliver on both doors.

Big orders move the price against you. Buy huge and the price climbs while you fill; dump huge and it sinks under you. This is called slippage, and it means whales pay for their size. If you are moving serious volume, consider splitting the order - or accept the toll.

03 · Your Stash - the portfolio

The YOUR STASH panel shows every position: shares held, the average price you paid, and your live unrealized profit or loss in both SC and percent. Below it sits your full transaction ledger and lifetime stats - every trade you ever made, preserved for the historians.

The percentage measures against your own average cost, not today's movement. Buy 10 shares at 100 SC and 10 more at 200 SC, and your average is 150 SC - green +12% means the position is worth 12% more than that blended cost. Buying more while a stock falls lowers your average, which is either smart accumulation or throwing good money after bad. The ledger will tell you which, later.

04 · Auto-sell orders - trade while you sleep

Two kinds, both attached to a position from the exchange, both filled automatically even while you are offline:

STOP-LOSS - sells automatically if the price falls to your trigger. This is your seatbelt. Buy at 200 SC, set a stop-loss at 170 SC, and the worst overnight news can do to you is roughly −15%. Without one, you can wake up to a smoking crater.

TAKE-PROFIT - sells automatically when the price climbs to your trigger. Buy at 200 SC, set a take-profit at 260 SC, and a +30% win banks itself while you are out looting. No staring at charts required.

You can have up to 12 orders open at once. The exchange refuses triggers that would fire instantly - a stop-loss above the current price is not a strategy, it is a market sell with extra steps.

05 · Price alerts - the exchange calls you

Set an alert above or below a price on any stock. When the price crosses it, the alert fires once and then disarms - re-arm it if you want it watching again. Up to 12 armed at a time.

If you have linked Discord, a fired alert pings you with an @mention - which means a phone notification. The exchange literally calls you when your number comes up.

Linking takes one minute: open /panel, find the Discord card, hit the link button, authorize on Discord's page, done. Set an alert on a stock you own at, say, 10% below your buy price - and go play the actual game.

06 · Options - the casino floor

Options are side bets on where a price is going, settled in cash. You pay a premium up front, and that premium is the most you can ever lose on the contract. The rest is upside.

A CALL pays when the price goes above your strike. A PUT pays when it goes below. Expiries are 1, 3 or 7 real days; your strike can sit anywhere between 50% and 200% of the current price; you can hold up to 10 open contracts. Premiums are priced off how wildly the stock actually moves - options on a calm blue chip are cheap, options on a rocket are not. The exchange shows your exact break-even before you confirm, so there is no excuse for surprise.

You can exercise any time you are in-the-money, or just wait: at expiry, in-the-money contracts pay out automatically, and out-of-the-money contracts expire worthless. No action required to win. None available to un-lose.

Worked CALL: stock at 500 SC. You buy a 3-day call at a 550 SC strike for a 40 SC premium. Break-even: 590 SC. The stock runs to 640 SC - the call pays 640 − 550 = 90 SC, minus your 40 SC premium, for +50 SC. If it never clears 550, the call dies worthless and you are out exactly 40 SC.

Worked PUT: same stock at 500 SC. You buy a 7-day put at a 450 SC strike for a 35 SC premium. Break-even: 415 SC. The stock craters to 350 SC - the put pays 450 − 350 = 100 SC, minus 35, for +65 SC. You just profited from a disaster you didn't have to be online for.

The legendary short: if a company goes bankrupt, puts settle at full strike value - that 450 SC put pays the whole 450 SC - while calls on the corpse die instantly. Calling a bankruptcy with puts is the single biggest score on the exchange. It is also very hard, which is why it is legendary.

07 · Dividends - getting paid to hold

Every 7 in-game days, every listed stock pays its holders a per-share dividend. The rate depends on the sector: steady sectors like Food and Meds pay the most, Tech pays the least - boring companies compensate you for the boredom. Hold 500 shares of something paying 3 SC per share and 1,500 SC lands in your balance. Payouts cap at 25,000 SC per stock.

One catch, and it matters: the share price drops by the dividend when it pays. A 300 SC stock paying 3 SC reopens at 297 SC. Buying right before payday gains you exactly nothing - the market is many things, but it is not that easy.

08 · Market weather - regimes, crashes, bankruptcies, IPOs

The market moves through regimes: CALM stretches, BULL RUNS where everything trends up, BEAR SLUMPS where it bleeds, and PANIC after something breaks. Rare total-market CRASHES hit every listing at once - brutal to hold through, historically the best buying window on the board. If you can stomach it.

Bankruptcies are a TOTAL LOSS. A dying company gets delisted and every share anyone holds becomes worth exactly zero. No refunds, no residual value, no appeals process - the wasteland does not do bailouts. Diversify. Never keep your whole bankroll in one ticker.

The exchange replaces its dead: after a bankruptcy, a replacement IPO rings the bell - and some of them are named after our VIPs, so you may one day watch your own name go bankrupt in real time.

The SNN Wire news feed runs alongside the board, tagging stories with $CASHTAGS. Stories react to real price moves - when you see a headline about a ticker, the chart already agrees with it.

09 · Leaderboards and badges

Five public leaderboards: Wealthiest, Top Traders, Most Bought (7d), Dividend Barons, and On Fire- the biggest 24-hour movers. Fame is free. Getting there isn't.

There are also 11 exchange badges, earned automatically and worn as dog tags in YOUR STASH. Highlights: Paper Hands No More, Diamond Hands for holding 25,000+ SC through a crash, Tuition Paidfor losing 100,000 SC lifetime (the market's way of saying you attended), and Leverage Enjoyer. You know who you are.

10 · Field warnings

Read before going all-in:

- Bankruptcy means total loss. Shares of a delisted company are worth zero, forever. Diversify or die broke.

- Options can and do expire worthless. The premium is capped, but "capped" and "small" are different words.

- Never bet the vault. Trade with money you can lose and still afford ammo. A dead trader with a great portfolio is still a dead trader.

11 · In-game commands

!stocks - list every company and its current price

!stock buy <SYM> <n> - buy n shares, e.g. !stock buy TSN 10

!stock sell <SYM> <n> - sell n shares at the current price

!portfolio - what you own, what it is worth, and your profit or loss

!bal - your SurvivalCash

Commands cover quick buys and sells. Orders, alerts, options, charts, news and badges live on the exchange.

12 · Footnote - the credit line

Need capital? The Bank runs a credit line whose maximum scales with your VIP tier - from 25,000 SC for non-VIPs up to 500,000 SC at Platinum. Borrowing to trade is a time-honored way to lose money faster. See section 10.
